TLDR.
This was interesting...
Rifa (in Spanish; it translates as raffle) was a raffle/auction store.
The idea was:
- I upload products to the store and assign a number of available slots to buy (e.g., 100 slots for a particular product)
- People could buy the available slots.
- When the last slot on an item was sold, the system would trigger a random function to get one lucky winner.
- You got the item just buying one o two slots for 1/100 the price! win-win.
The app was ready, users on beta ready, networking ready... but....
It turns out that having to buy or convince others to upload products and NOT having a reliable flow of users to fulfill the slots per product is not that easy...
Accounting and legal issues were also a nightmare. Don't remember exactly what was that killed this project. Maybe my focus started drifting to another one π¬
